Spotify Font – Bold, Clean, and Geometric
If you’ve ever looked closely at the Spotify logo, you might’ve noticed its sleek and modern vibe. That’s no accident — the logo uses Gotham Medium, a geometric sans serif created by Tobias Frere-Jones. It’s bold, clean, and easy to recognize, which makes it a perfect fit for a global brand like Spotify.
Interestingly, the design team didn’t use Gotham straight out of the box. They made a few tweaks — like adjusting the dot above the “i” — to give it a more unique and ownable look. This small detail helps set the logo apart while still keeping things simple.
While the Spotify logo itself isn’t a font you can type with, Metropolis by Chris Simpson is a great free alternative. It shares that same modern, structured feel and works well in branding, apps, and user interfaces.
