Proxima Nova – Geometric Sans Serif Powerhouse
Proxima Nova is a flexible geometric sans serif font that blends the clean style of Futura with the readability of Akzidenz Grotesk. Mark Simonson first released it in 1994 as Proxima Sans. He later expanded and relaunched it in 2005 under the name Proxima Nova.
The family includes seven weights across three widths—each with italics—totaling 80 fonts. It supports over 1,400 characters, including Greek, Cyrillic, Vietnamese, and many currency symbols. Its modern and balanced look has made it one of the most widely used commercial fonts on the web.
